I had a small issue with the texture on the back of the case being a bit rough and inconsistent. I emailed the company and they were kind enough to send me a replacement. The replacement that I got is superb and I am very happy with it. I have had iPads since the first model, but this is my first case this style. Previously I have used higher end leather cases such as the Piel Frama case. While I cannot compare other cases in this style, these are a few key points that are important to me.

The case is very thin and does not add a lot of bulk to the iPad. The finish on the case is a nice frost color and while there is a logo on the back, it blends in perfectly with the other factory logos on the back of the iPad. All of the cutouts are precise, even down to the speaker holes. I did a good amount of reading prior to purchasing this case, and some of the other manufacturers leave a lot of the bottom portion of the iPad exposed. I received the frost ZUM SC today - shipping was very fast. It installs easily onto my new iPad 3 with just a few gentle snaps and everything lines up beautifully. I really like how it locks my smart cover and the way it protects the speaker area. Another thing I love is the wide opening at the top for the microphone. Most of other cases would give you a tiny hole for that which I've always worried that it may affect my sound quality when I'm using the microphone. With the ZUM SC I have no worry with it. This cover is thinner than the Belkin snap shield (which cracked for no reason after just 3 weeks)and yet seems to provide good protection. It also has a slight rubbery grip to it which I like. Will see how it holds up in the next few months but so far I love it.

I bought this base cover last year as my iPad always slipped out of my hand with the idiot Apple magnetic-clinched front cover. I strolled around my local Best Buy, Target, Staples, etc but just found other back cases too clumsy, thick or simply not "chic". I read a tech-review saying that this cover, while gives protection to my iPad, could solve the "slippery" problem. It served the purpose! And it's so thin and fit - just like a 2nd skin to my iPad. Beautiful! I bought 3 more for my family since then. My own ZUM back cover cracked a bit last week. I emailed them about it for it's under 1-year warranty. They immediately sent me a new one! Their service is just incredible. I highly recommend it.
